You may watch YouTube videos offline when you download them using YouTube Premium. But only the YouTube app on the same device allows you to see the downloaded video.
Here’s how to use YouTube Premium to download and view videos from the platform:
- Launch the YouTube app or go to YouTube in a browser, and confirm that you have a YouTube Premium subscription and are signed in.
- Locate the video you wish to download, then click the three dots that appear beneath it. Select Download from the dropdown menu.
Download Video is the menu item to choose if you’re using the YouTube app on a mobile device. You can also touch the Download option located beneath the video when you tap it to begin playing it.

To begin playing a downloaded video in a browser, click Downloads from the menu on the left side of the screen.
On a mobile device: Select Downloads by tapping the Library tab located at the bottom of the screen. To begin playing the video, tap on it.
How to Use YouTube Music to Download Music from Videos?
You can download videos to your mobile device by using the YouTube Music app, which is included with YouTube Premium. The majority of songs and videos on YouTube, including covers and live performances, are compatible with this.
